Job Title: Senior Lead Technician

Reports to: Operations Manager

Position Type: Non-exempt

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

MISSION

To lead, manage, retain, and hold team accountable while restoring buildings back to original condition in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner and follow through with contract requirements.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

 

  • Job Management: Assure all job information is updated in job management software. Verify that notes are entered daily by all the teams. Ensure that all photographic documentation is uploaded in the system as per company procedures. Ensure all paperwork is completed at the end of each day.
  • Customer Service: Maintain ongoing contact and follow up with customers on job progress. This will include visiting project locations and speaking with clients to ensure quality work is being performed at all times. Ensure the COS (Certificate of Satisfaction) is signed on every project.
  • Lead and Manage Teams: Ensure technicians are staying on task and are on track on all active projects. Act as the authority on projects when no other supervisors are present.
  • Efficient Communication: Notify the Supervisor/Project Manager of any changes to the scope of the job. This may include preparing change orders for submittal. Ongoing communication with Supervisor/Project Manager to ensure projects stay on schedule. This will include scheduling reconstruction services, testing, pack outs, etc.
  • Safety Compliance: Assure all OSHA standards are being followed by wearing proper PPE at all times and maintaining a clean, safe worksite.
  • Follow Operational Process: Ensure all teams follow all process and procedures for containments, demolition work and/or water extraction. Evaluate restoration requirements due to specified damage. Always maintain plans and permits as required for the project.
  • Follow Ups: Visit all job sites to ensure moisture and equipment are being monitored.
  • Material Prep: Coordinate with Field Supervisor to ensure that any special-order materials or salvaged materials are stocked and ready for the reconstruction team.
  • Achieve Goals and Metrics: Ensure all jobs stay on track with daily goals.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that prior to the start of the project, the scope is clearly understood by the team. You will be responsible for quality work on every project. Be prepared to visit the property with additional trades to discuss scope and ensure quality work is performed as per company policies.
  • Recordkeeping: All expenses, receipts, and any job notes entered.
  • Complete any and all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Minimum 3 years industry specific experience
  • Certifications preferred, may be provided
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • On-call rotation availability, if needed
  • Leadership skills
  • Availability for on call rotation, ability to work all hours; weekends, evenings and holidays as projects require
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated
  • Maintain acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Industry knowledge
  • General building and mechanical knowledge
  • Strong reading and math skills
  • Experience using mechanical tools, operating machinery and maintaining equipment
